v0.4.3

Notes2 updates
  • Check for Updates now runs every time RelayDock starts, not once a day, so a release published after your last start is offered at the next one.
  • Windows: fixed an unsafe read in the bridge's pipe security setup (found by the new Windows test job).

v0.4.2

Fixed1 update
  • macOS: recording the pads in Cubase put every note at the same position in the part. The bridge sent its virtual-port MIDI with a zero timestamp, which Cubase took literally; notes on the RelayDock Notes port now carry the time they were played and record where you played them. The "Use System Timestamp" workaround in MIDI Port Setup is no longer needed.
Notes1 update
  • Windows: now verified with a Push 3 on Windows 10/11. The Windows version is no longer a preview.

v0.4.0

Breaking3 updates
  • the virtual MIDI ports are now "RelayDock" and "RelayDock Notes" (previously "Push for Cubase" and "Push for Cubase Notes"). After updating, re-check Studio → Studio Setup → MIDI Port Setup and untick In 'All MIDI Inputs' for RelayDock and the Push's own ports, leaving RelayDock Notes ticked. Cubase re-detects the surface automatically; it still appears as "Ableton Push 3 Bridge".
  • the commands are now relaydock-bridge and relaydock-diag (Windows: relaydock.exe for the notification-area app). Update any autostart entry or script that calls the old names; on Windows the installer replaces the old autostart entry for you.
  • logs and settings moved to ~/Library/Logs/RelayDock (Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\RelayDock\Logs and %APPDATA%\RelayDock\settings.ini). Old logs are left in place, and saved scale/pad settings start from their defaults again.
Notes4 updates
  • Renamed: Push for Cubase is now RelayDock. The app, the installers, the bridge and the diagnostics tool all change name, and the Push display shows RELAYDOCK while it waits for Cubase.
  • RelayDock Pro: Mix, the Device page and the pads now need a RelayDock Pro license key. Without one, RelayDock runs in Demo mode with the display, transport, track navigation and the Track and Tracks pages; pressing a Pro control shows RelayDock Pro on the Push. Buy and activate from the menu-bar (Mac) or notification-area (Windows) menu. If you used 0.3.0, these features now need Pro.
  • macOS: RelayDock now lives in the menu bar. Its light is green when Cubase and the Push are connected, amber while it waits for Cubase and red when the Push isn't connected, as on Windows. The menu shows the details and has Diagnostics on Push, Open Log Folder, Start at Login and Quit RelayDock, which turns the Push's lights off. No more Activity Monitor to stop it.
  • The Push hardware layer keeps its own names (PushCore, PushDisplay, the Push 3 MIDI map): only the product is renamed.

v0.3.0

Notes6 updates
  • New Mix page: eight channels with volume, pan and sends 1–6 on the encoders, meters, and select / mute / solo / arm on the buttons below the display. Page ◀ ▶ moves the bank.
  • New Track and Device pages: the selected track's volume, pan, sends and M/S/R/Monitor/Read/Write, and the instrument, insert plug-ins or Quick Controls on the encoders.
  • The pads play the selected instrument track like Note mode on Push: root notes light in the track's colour and every pad of a held note lights up. Live's 35 scales with In Key or Chromatic, 4ths, 3rds and Sequential layouts, Fixed, a Drums layout, Accent, and Note Repeat with its rates on the scene buttons. Settings are remembered.
  • Main volume, tempo, jog wheel, markers, undo/redo, save and automation work from the Push.
  • Windows (preview): the bridge runs on Windows 10 and 11 as a notification-area app, with the same pages and controls. RelayDock now installs its own MIDI driver (relaydock-midi.dll), so loopMIDI is no longer needed: run the installer, start RelayDock, start Cubase. Not yet verified with a Push 3 on Windows.
  • Check for Updates: RelayDock looks for a newer version each time it starts and shows the release notes with a Download button. Check for Updates… in the menu does it on demand; Check for Updates Automatically turns the check at start off. Nothing about you is sent.

v0.1.0

https://warnerwebdevelopment.com/relaydock/changelog/#v0-1-0
Notes3 updates
  • First release (macOS): the Push 3 display shows Cubase state, transport and track navigation work, and encoder 1 controls the selected track's volume.
  • Tracks page (Session button): eight tracks with names, colours, mute/solo/arm and meters, plus a timeline ruler with playhead and cycle range.
  • Unplugging the Push, restarting the bridge and restarting Cubase all recover automatically.
